In 2018 J.Almarode, D.Fisher, N.Frey and J.Hattie published "Visible Learning for Science - What works best to optimize student learning." The focus of this session will be looking at some of the key messages and strategies from this book, with suggestions on how some of these can be implemented in a science classroom. This will cover strategies for surface learning, deep learning and transfer learning. This should be useful to science teachers at all levels, primary to secondary and for science teachers at schools that already use SOLO.
