“I’m no expert, but” … in an attempt to better support students with these complex and persistent difficulties I have been reading about some recent cognitive-behavioural models that successfully explain how these problems function. What I discovered has given me greater confidence as a school counsellor in meeting students who present with these issues and I would like to share this learning with others. At this session I will provide information and offer some reflection regarding the following three models:
1. The Revised Cognitive-Behavioural Model of Perfectionism, Shafran et.al., 2010.
2. The Clark & Wells Model of Social Anxiety, 1995.
3. Wilkinson et.al., (2011), CBT for Worry & Generalised Anxiety Disorder.
