Teaching about the Holocaust

This session will be about pedagogy of teaching the Holocaust in the classroom. I will be focusing on how to discuss the narrative of the Holocaust in the classroom so that students will develop a meaningful connection to the idea that such atrocities should "never again" happen. We will also discuss the idea of being an upstander in society, and how teaching the Holocaust can support this message. This will be useful for teachers who are already teaching about the Holocaust or who are interested in teaching about the Holocaust. No prior knowledge is necessary.
