The key focus for this session is to explain how anti-bullying strategies can be taught within the junior curriculum, year 9-10, with Drama as a focus. The topic is taught in conjunction with Health, Social Studies and English. The unit of work was developed following a visit to the 'Children of the Holocaust Memorial', held at the National Library in term one 2019. The language around the unit is centered on empowering students to be Upstanders rather than Bystanders. The research looks at training senior students as teachers and role models to promote wellness and cultural responsiveness.
